Tattoos Take Center Stage in the Upcoming Batwoman Series

Take a look at the trailer for Ruby Rose's new show

The CW has become the number one superhero television channel, supplying shows such as Smallville, Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow. Now, following the success of past female-led productions within the DC comics universe, Batwoman is finally getting her time to shine. In 2019, Ruby Rose was cast in the titular role as the cousin of Bruce Wayne and the pilot premiered to a select crowd at San Diego Comic Con.

What an amazing shoot this was for @entertainmentweekly and how lucky am I to be welcomed into this new family of @stephenamell @melissabenoist @grantgust and @caitylotz … I also can’t believe this is my second @entertainmentweekly cover in as many months. ❤️❤️

For those who didn’t have the pleasure of checking out the pilot at Comic Con, audiences worldwide can enjoy an exciting tattoo trailer. In the show’s first full length trailer, we’re thrust into a tattoo parlor in Gotham City with an artist who’s inking the iconic bat logo on many walk-in clients. And although this teaser doesn’t tell us much about what’s to come out of the show, it does lead us to believe that Rose’s tattoos may play a role in the series. Rose has a large collection of tattoos, which have been shown in television and movies such as Orange is the New Black and Pitch Perfect 3. And based on this trailer, we imagine that the show will make her real ink a part of the character.
