Lucy Hale’s Almost ‘Too Tiny To Notice’ Tattoo Collection of 14 Includes Work From Winterstone and Dr. Woo

Just as Hale's lightbulb ink comes from the Latin meaning of her first name, "as of light," INKED is bringing Lucy Hale’s tiny tattoo collection to light.

Pretty Little Liars’ Lucy Hale has a slew of tattoos—with some being too tiny to notice. Many celebrities are also on this trend, helping mico tattoos continue their reign in popularity. Just as Hale’s lightbulb tattoo comes from the Latin meaning of her first name, “as of light,” INKED is bringing Lucy Hale’s dainty ink collection to light.

Hale’s first tattoo, the bow on the back of her neck, was inked by Dr. Woo back in 2009.

From a different artist, she has matching suns with her sister, and a crescent moon around the same time. Hale went back to Woo in 2017, to get an evil eye tattoo on the back of her ankle.

While her tattoo collection started a little before Pretty Little Liars aired, the cast got matching character initials on their fingers, as the show finished filming in late 2016. Hale having “A,” for her character, Aria Montgomery.

Hale and her sister also share an “I love you” tattoo, for their grandmother.

Before leaving her visit in Cambodia, Hale stopped at Bayon Tattoo for elephant ink. Along marking this journey, she also sports some lettering from her life’s journey thus far.

Hale’s quote from the bible verse Song of Solomon 2:15, says: “Catch the foxes for us; the little foxes; that spoil the vineyards; for our vineyards are in blossom.”

Hale’s under-boob ink is a quote from C.S. Lewis’ The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Hale has another quote tattoo, which matches with best friend, Annie Leonard, inked by Daniel Winter, AKA Winterstone, which she says in her Instagram post is from a poem by Atticus.

Hale’s “self love” tattoo is done by artist Rob Green. The fine-lined drawing was originally designed by French artist Frédéric Forest.

Is Dr. Woo Hale’s favorite tattoo artist? She visited his chair again, for a slim-needle ode to her Gemini zodiac sign.
