SZA’s music always comes at a time when it’s most needed. Her latest release, “S.O.S.,” entered our lives at the peak of heartbreak season with songs about killing exes, battling insecurities and finding true freedom in being alone. By sharing with us such vivid parts of her soul, it’s hard not to get wrapped up in the magical, yet tragic, world she creates.

Few albums have made as big of a splash in the alternative R&B landscape as SZA’s 2017 release “Ctrl.” The album swept us away with exhilarating bangers and somber ballads that forced us to confront our darkest feelings. It featured unforgettable songs like “Love Galore” and “Doves in the Wind,” fluidly wavering between bad bitch and sad girl energy. The singer is able to articulate the complexities of love and hate with unadulterated passion and a wide vocal range, and it’s no wonder that she has become one of the most recognizable figures in music today.

SZA is also known for her iconic looks. From the multicolored beads in her bangs in Ty Dolla $ign’s “Hit Different” video to her ethereal pink Versace gown at the Met Gala in 2018, there is no shortage of jaw-dropping looks from one of the most genre-defining artists of our generation.
