In May 2011, kinky bookworms got their first taste of the addictive Fifty Shades of Grey novel by E.L. James. Originally written at Twilight fan fiction, the book tells the story of an ingénue virgin who enters into a BDSM relationship with Seattle billionaire Christian Grey. The book was so beloved by readers worldwide that it was adapted for the big screen in 2015, starring actors Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. Although it was nominated for the most Golden Raspberry Awards that year, the film made $571 million at the box office and two sequel films were shortly released. The third and final film of the trilogy, Fifty Shades Freed, premiered in theaters this past weekend and it’s time you learned our thoughts on the feature.
