Perfect Symmetry

Today’s tattoo of the day is this incredible geometric piece by Alex Arnautov. Arnautov is based in Kiev, Ukraine, and has been tattooing with his signature style since 2008. Best known for his blackwork, Arnautov’s pieces tend to feature gorgeous works of sacred geometry and dotwork, as shown in today’s pick.

The stomach and chest are not flat surfaces, yet somehow Arnautov was able to create an incredibly symmetrical piece for his client. We love how the simple use of basic shapes can be patterned into such gorgeous and complex designs, as the one shown here. It takes a skilled hand to fully render something so precise, and Arnautov carried out this tattoo beautifully.

Arnautov’s years of experience and lauded work has led him to found and co-own a premiere shop in Kiev, A3metric Tattoo Workshop, an appointment-only tattoo studio where you can find Arnautov creating some of his masterpieces daily.
