Back in the day, aspiring tattoo artists were left with no choice but to convince their brave friends to volunteer their precious bare skin as a canvas to practice on. Since, there has of course been alternate options available to future tattooists. A particularly awesome method that caught our eye is A Pound of Flesh.
The synthetic tattoo-able skin is shaped like real human hands, arms, and feet for the artist’s ideal use. This hefty pound of faux flesh is not just for the newbies; renowned artists like Tyler Malek are using it to show off their skills and expand their portfolio, too. Could synthetic flesh be the new flash? Who knows, maybe one day there will be limbs hanging on the walls of your resident tattoo shop in place of the classic flash.
