Astoria, Oregon—the town where director Richard Donner filmed the movie—is hosting a week-long festival that will even have a special appearance by Chunk himself, actor Jeff Cohen. The city expects around 15,000 attendees from all over the world.

That’s one way to honor a film that has inspired generation after generation to chase adventure.
