National Vodka Day is here!
In the last decade Austin, Texas, has become known as a hot bed for all sorts of cool culture. Music? Damn right. Tattoos? Certainly. Vodka? You bet. Don’t sound so surprised, not all vodka comes from the frozen tundras of Russia. Tito’s Vodka has been making delicious vodka from deep in the heart of Texas for over 18 years. Tito Beveridge (yes, that’s his real name) started making flavored vodkas for his friends to hand out as Christmas presents in the early 90’s. After maxing out 19 credit cards, a lot of hard work, and ditching the flavors Beveridge came up with the Tito’s vodka that people know and love.
This Saturday is National Vodka Day so why would you celebrate with vodka from anywhere other than the United States? Everything that goes into Tito’s—from the vodka ingredients to the bottle cap—is made in the United States. If you’re looking for a specific cocktail to enjoy we suggest you whip up a couple of Tito’s Texas Sippers.

Tito’s Texas Sipper
1 1/2 oz Tito’s Handmade Vodka
1/4 oz elderflower liqueur such as St Germain
2 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
1 oz Grapefruit Soda
Shake Tito’s, elderflower liqueur and juice over ice. Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice and top with grapefruit soda. Garnish with a mint leaf and enjoy!
