While most people limit their modifications to pierced lobes—others go down a very different route. They’re known as body mods and they’ve been around for much longer than you might think. Body modification such as piercings, scarification, and stretched lobes go back hundreds of years in many tribal communities. Today, body mods are certainly not as frequent as heavily tattooed individuals, however, it’s not nearly as shocking to see someone with a face full of stretched piercings. This is the case for 19-year-old Skye Purdon, a body mod fanatic and influencer from the UK. Her alien-esque beauty has gained her over 70K followers and she continues to amaze audiences with her tongue and lip tricks.
