Inked at BottleRock: A Fusion of Music and Body Art
From Ed Sheeran's vibrant sleeves to Action Bronson's bold designs, BottleRock performers made a statement both on stage and through their tattoos.
This year’s BottleRock Festival in Napa Valley brought together a stunning lineup of musical talent, but as always, it was the ink that caught our eye. From rock legends to rising stars, the performers didn’t just bring their music—they also brought an incredible array of tattoos, each telling its own story.
Stephen Sanchez hit the stage with his soulful voice and simple, yet meaningful ink. His minimalist tattoos reflect a classic, timeless vibe, perfectly complementing his vintage-inspired music style. Ed Sheeran, always one to wear his story on his skin, displayed his vibrant collection of tattoos, each marking a significant moment in his life and career—from intricate sleeves to small, personal designs, like his ketchup bottle tattoo, proving that even global superstars keep it quirky.
Action Bronson brought his usual swagger and heavily tattooed physique, featuring bold designs that speak to his love for art and culture. His ink, as colorful as his personality, stood out as he dominated the stage with raw energy. Dehd’s Emily Kempf took the stage at BottleRock, her body adorned with striking tattoos that perfectly mirrored the band’s raw and dynamic energy.
The Kid Laroi continues to be a name on the rise, and his tattoos are no different. His ink speaks to his journey from Australia to global fame, with symbolic pieces that reflect his youth and ambition. Meanwhile, Jack Kays showcased a mixture of hand-drawn, DIY-style tattoos, perfectly matching his raw, introspective music.
T-Pain, known for his bold personality, flaunted his intricate designs, including a mix of musical symbols and personal motifs. His tattoos are as much a part of his identity as his unmistakable voice.
The musicians of the legendary Latin band Mana kept their ink personal and cultural, reflecting their long-standing influence in the world of Latin rock.
Finally, Alexsucks brought an energetic, rebellious vibe to the festival, its band members’ tattoos adding to the punk ethos they embody. Each design is a statement, adding an extra layer to their no-holds-barred performances.
As always, BottleRock wasn’t just about the music—it was a visual feast of body art, with each tattoo telling a deeper story of the artists who wear them.
