Alysha Nett checks in with us as often as her busy schedule will allow to give her insight on modeling, tattoos and art. She even throws in a recipe from time to time. Alysha always makes sure to include plenty of sexy pictures of her exploits, so check back often to see what she’s been up to.
Let me introduce you to my new friend Alie. Alie Layus is a DJ, producer, model, blogger, photographer, and a total BABE. To be honest, I’ve had a major girl crush on her for a while now and was super stoked to get her in front of my camera. Her and her fluffy friend Sophie met me at my place. After I strapped her into some retro rollerblades, we shot through a couple rolls of film. I hope you all like the results! Get to know more about Alie and be sure to check out her blog for more photos of beautiful girls and also the photos she took of me!
xx

Hi Alie! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself for anyone that may not know?
I grew up all over Southern California, but I’m currently residing in Las Vegas. I DJ and produce music, I’m also really heavily involved in fashion.. I run a blog, and I do some modeling and picture taking as well.
You are a very busy lady. I see you out there! DJing, modeling, blogging —which one came first?
I started DJing in 2010 and everything else I do just kinda fell into place after that. I actually made a lot of my connections with fashion brands through DJing.
I love that we both have shot each other! What sort of things inspire your photography?
I’m really into all things vintage—I collect vintage t-shirts, post cards, vinyl, cameras, etc. I’m really inspired by nostalgia.
You’re always traveling and on the road. Wheres your favorite city to DJ?
I love San Francisco, whenever I play a show out there I almost always end up staying for a week afterwards and doing little foodie tours with my best friends who live out there. I also love traveling to Seattle and Hawaii.
Do you have any mixes of your own online so people can check them out?
Yeah, you can find my music on soundcloud.com/AlieLayusMusic.
I know you’re from san diego but you just got a place in Vegas, right? Have you settled in?
I’ve moved so many times in the past 4 or 5 years, I’m never really settled in (ha ha). But actually, all my furniture is in San Diego still, and I’ve been sleeping on an air mattress at my new place in Vegas with nothing but a suitcase of clothes and some kitchen stuff until I finally find some free time to officially move the rest of my things.
Your (canine) sidekick Sofie is such a cutie. Is she a road warrior with you most of the time?
Yeah, I bring sofie with me wherever I can. She’s so sweet and well behaved so it’s really easy traveling with her. It gets lonely traveling as much as I do, so it’s nice to have her company when I’m on the road.
Your personal style is so cute and a lot of people agree with me. What are some of your must-have items that you always pack?
Aw thanks! My style is pretty simple. I love soft, worn-in vintage t-shirts, vintage denim cut-off shorts or high-waist skinny jeans, and my Doc Martens. That’s pretty much what I live in every day, all year long.
Are there any current projects you’re working on now that you’re excited about?
I’m in the process of re-vamping my blog, and I’m working with a few awesome brands right now on collaborations to design some clothing and jewelry pieces that will be available exclusively on my blog at the official re-launch, which should be around the beginning of July.
