Drake Bell’s Rockabilly Ink

Some of us may remember Drake Bell from his supporting role on Amanda Bynes‘ The Amanda Show or even his spin-off series Drake & Josh, but as he got older, the former child star grew up and took a trip back in time. Now heavily involved in the LA music scene, Bell rocks a cool ’50s throwback style and fronts his own rockabilly band. Along with this new look and sound comes some brand new ink. Also rooted in a classic throwback style, Bell is covered in American traditional tattoos and earlier this week he previewed some upcoming work via Instagram.

Bell recently uploaded a photo of himself getting tattooed by the amazingly talented Dan Smith. Smith is an incredible tattoo artist based at Captured Tattoo in Tustin, California. Though his latest ink on Bell has yet to be revealed, he has tattooed the singer twice before with classic imagery such as a traditional leopard and a pair of arrows. Known for his solid work in the American traditional style, Smith makes the perfect artist to bring to life the iconic throwback feel of the rockabilly style.
