Los Angeles Laker Nick Young came very close to learning the most important rule for script tattoos—always triple check the spelling—the hard way. Luckily his fiancée, rap sensation Iggy Azalea, came in the room just in the nick of time to prevent Young from being labeled a “Reble” for the rest of his life.

Azalea shared the tale of Young’s near mishap on Twitter Wednesday night. “Guys, I wanna let you know,” Azalea tweeted. “Nick can’t spell and if it wasn’t for the LOVE I have for him. He would have “BORN REBLE” tattooed across his back.”

The couple had been in the headlines recently after one of Young’s teammates, D’Angelo Russell, recorded him as he talked about cheating on Azalea. One certainly wouldn’t have blamed Azalea for keeping her mouth shut about the spelling gaffe as a small act of revenge, that would make for a hell of a story. We do know that for a second she considered doing just that. “He really is lucky I mentioned it to him,” Azalea tweeted. “I was gonna be petty and not say.”

This is far from the first public spelling mistake Young has made, he botched the spelling of his own nickname when he created his Twitter account, @NickSwagyPYoung. If anyone should be triple checking before getting inked, it’s Swagy Swaggy P.

So, remember kids, learn from Young’s (almost) mistake and always, always, ALWAYS check the spelling on the stencil before your artist starts going to work.
