Support Australia and Check Out Amazing Aussie Artists
Some of the tattoo industry's best artists call Australia home
Since June of 2019, bushfires have devastated Australia. By December, the New South Wales government declared a state of emergency and its estimated that half a billion animals have been impacted over the 16,000,000 affected acres thus far. The bushfires have also destroyed over 2,500 buildings and taken the lives of 25 people. The environmental catastrophe has elicited an international response, with climate activist Greta Thunberg tweeting out:
“Not even catastrophes like these seem to bring any political action. How is this possible? Because we still fail to make the connection between the climate crisis and increased extreme weather events and nature disasters like the #AustraliaFires. That’s what has to change. Now.”
At the 77th annual Golden Globe Awards, many celebrities spoke out about the bushfires, with many urging donations. A Facebook fundraiser by Instagram comedian Celeste Barber has successfully raised over $27M so far, thanks to the generosity of over 1 million users. We encourage our readers to give what they can to help The Trustee for NSW Rural Fire Service & Brigades Donations Fund and as a thanks, we’re shouting out some of our favorite Australian tattoo artists in the gallery below.
