This Box Turned Up at a Reno Tattoo Shop, With a Horrifying Surprise

Someone left a box that indicated it was filled with cremated human remains, outside The Working Class Tattoo, a Reno tattoo shop, on East Fourth Street.

The staff at The Working Class Tattoo, found the box on Sunday. Audrey Richards, who works at the shop, was the first to find the package. The box was labeled, “incinerated remains of Sharon McQueen.”

The label says McQueen died in 2007 at the age of 64, and lists Masonic Memorial Gardens as the crematory.

Working Class Tattoo called the crematory, which told them the remains had once been shipped to Final Wishes Funeral Home in Reno, which is no longer in business.

Working Class Tattoo posted photos of the box on Facebook with the message: “Can we pass this around, see if we can find any family members?” Adding, “We’d like to find her rightful home!”

Richards offered that the box might belong to someone living homeless in the area.
