Lena Dunham Shows Off Her Tattoo Collection While Posing Nude

Lena Dunham came into mainstream success in 2012, when her show Girls premiered on HBO. For six seasons, Dunham created, wrote, and starred in the series, along the way early several Emmy Award nominations and two Golden Globe Awards. In addition to Girls, Dunham has published a New York Times Best Selling book, guest starred on the acclaimed FX series American Horror Story, and is set to appear in Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood as Catherine Share, a member of the Manson family.

Throughout Dunhams many years in the Hollywood spotlight, she’s collected many tattoos and has been known to show them off on social media. And in many cases, she does so in a manner of promoting body positivity by proudly displaying her imperfections on social media.

On May 29th, Dunham took to Instagram with a nude selfie that not only showed off her ink, but was posted to help raise money for charity. In the post, Dunham writes:

“Any negativity that comes your way is just an excuse to love yourself even more, right? Comment below with a reason you love yourself. I’ll go first: I’m a sober accountable adult who still loves to get naked. Okay, GO! For every comment in the next week, I’ll be donating a dollar to @FriendlyHouseLA, a residential program for women recovering from substance and alcohol addiction. So guys, be liberal with your self-praise…

So far, in the day and a half since the post was uploaded, Dunham has raised over $26,000 for charity and has proven that social media can be used to make a positive impact on the community.
