Matt Damon Gets A New Delicate Arm Tattoo
Damon adds a lovely new touch to the tattoo honoring his wife and children
The Academy Award winning actor Matt Damon flexed a new upper bicep tattoo this week. The piece is an addition to a set of tattoos he got back in August, 2019. The original tattoo, done by Daniel Winter, features script of the names of his four children, Alexa, Isabella, Gia and Stella, as well as his wife’s name, Lucy, in elegant cursive.
Winter, who goes by the moniker winterstone on Instagram, is known for his exquisite fine line designs. While the tattoos of the five names are stunning on their own, it seems Damon felt they needed a little spicing up.
The new ink is a delicate geometric embellishment, incorporating fine lines, dots, and stars to create a sort of constellation effect. The tattoo was done by Mr. K at Bang Bang NYC. Mr. K has made a name for himself with his intricate designs, from ornate patterns perfect for finger tattoos to astounding illustrations of realistic eyes. Mr. K has also tattooed an array of noteworthy celebrities such as Lewis Hamilton and Lil Tecca.
Damon is revered for his stellar performances in films such as “Saving Private Ryan,” “Interstellar,” the Jason Bourne films and “Good Will Hunting” for which he and co-writer Ben Affleck won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay in 1997. While Affleck has since gone on to tattoo a giant colorful phoenix on his back, Damon has opted for something more subtle and endearing.
What do you think of Matt Damon’s new ink, and will it inspire you to get a new delicate piece for yourself?
