50 Tattoo Models Celebrating National Bikini Day
What's better than a tattooed girl in a bikini? Not much!
The bikini was introduced to the world in 1946 by fashion designer Louis Reard. At the time, runway models refused to wear the skimpy design and Reard instead hired an exotic dancer to show off the swimwear. Over time, the bikini became more mainstream, with film stars such as Brigitte Bardot, Raquel Welch, and Ursula Andress bringing it into public light. By the 1960s, the bikini was in full force and today, it’s the standard for sunbathing in the Western world. In honor of National Bikini Day, July 5th, which honors the iconic suit crafted by Reard, we’re celebrating with 50 of our favorite tattoo models sporting their sexiest two piece suits.
