21 Tattoos to Get During Pride Month
Celebrate Pride Month with Drag Queens, Rainbows, and Equality Symbols!
We’ve made it to June and you know what that means? Pride month! Every year, millions around the world celebrate love and honor the activists who fought for decades to gain equality. However, while pride is often a celebration filled with festivities and joy, it’s also a movement to fight against the discrimination and violence that impacts the queer community to this day.
June was chosen to for pride month to commemorate the Stone Wall Riots of 1969, which led to the gay liberation movement throughout the United States. In June of 1970, the first gay pride marches took place in major American cities and in 2019, the largest pride event in world history will be held to honor the fifty year anniversary of Stone Wall.
And for those who’re looking to celebrate their queer identities with a bold statement this month, why not consider a pride approved tattoo? Take a look at 21 tattoos that celebrate the LGBT community and let us know your thoughts on this story in the comments section.
