Celebrate Robin Williams’ Birthday with 15 Tattoos of the Comedy Icon

Robin Williams is one of the most prolific, influential, and powerful comedians of all time, starring in block buster hits such as Aladdin, Hook, Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji, Good Will Hunting, and the Night at the Museum trilogy. Williams passed away in 2014 after committing suicide, sending shock waves throughout the world. If alive today, Williams would have celebrated his 68th birthday on July 21st, but his passing doesn’t mean we can’t continue to recognize an icon. In honor of Robin Williams’ birthday, we’re revisiting his powerful legacy by taking a look at 15 incredible tattoos which highlight some of his most iconic film roles.

The only celebrity I have truly mourned the loss of, but this goes beyond your fame. You were a great inspiration and uplifted so many people including myself. From your comedy, to your movie roles, every character that has made me feel every human emotion possible, to your quotes and dedication to mental health awareness. Your influence has been tremendous in my life. Suffering from mental health disorders myself since I was a child, too young to truly grasp what my brain was doing to me, your presence was comforting like that of a grandparent. Probably explains why I grieve you so much like a grandfather. You chose to use your fame and exposure to show humanity true acts and words of kindness, wisdom, and transparency. Thank you for what you’ve been able to do for me even if it wasn’t personal, and what I’m sure many people can say as well.
