Did Soulja Boy Remove His Face Tattoos?
What do you think of the rapper's transformation?
Like many rappers of today, Soulja Boy emerged onto the music scene with a breakout, world changing single. Soulja Boy appeared on the music scene as a fresh faced kid in 2007 with his smash hit “Crank Dat (Souja Boy).” The single peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and everyone in the world caught on to the viral dance. The song stayed on the charts for seven-consecutive weeks and over the years has released a number of popular singles including “Kiss Me Thru the Phone,” “Turn My Swag On,” and our personal favorite, “Yahhh!”
In the twelve years that he’s been in the industry, Boy has collected a number of tattoos, including several on his face. Up until 2020, Boy had the Gucci logo on his forehead, three tear drops below his right eye, kanji below his left eye and the phrase “Rich Gang” on the side of his face, among other small symbols and words. Boy has admitted to wanting is face tattoos removed for several years now, particularly the Gucci logo after the brand’s sweater scandal. However, in that time he’s added more tattoos to his collection and we believed he’d be face tatted for life.
Yet, it appears that Boy has finally done it. In a video posted to his Instagram and shared by The Shade Room, Boy shows off a tattoo-free face. It appears that Boy has gone through the process of removing his face tattoos and as someone who’s had several sessions on just one piece—I feel his pain. Laser tattoo removal is not only painful, it takes many sessions spread out over months. It’s something you need to be dedicated to and if Boy has in fact gone through with it, he’s got a serious pain tolerance.
What do you think of Soulja Boy’s new look? Do you have a tattoo that you want removed? How about a face tattoo you regret? Let us know your thoughts on this story in the comments section on social media and take a listen to one of the greatest songs ever made below.

Tattoo enthusiasts often claim addiction, but true addiction involves chemical and psychological dependence. Obsessive love for tattoos is not the same as addiction.
