There are several musicians who will be remembered until the end of time. One of these artists is Stevie Nicks. Stevie Nicks was born in Phoenix on May 26th, 1948 and began performing folk rock music while still in high school. She met her eventual music collaborator and future romantic partner Lindsey Buckinham during her senior year, who’d she’d later join Fleetwood Mac with in 1975. With Fleetwood Mac, she’d rise to stardom and would gain acclaim through singles such as “Rhiannon,” “Go Your Own Way” and the 2X platinum “Dreams.” Nicks would perform with Fleetwood Mac for the next several decades, but also reached new heights as a solo artist. Nicks has released eight albums as a solo artist and some of her most popular singles include “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,” “Leather and Lace” and “Edge of Seventeen.” She continues to make solo music to this day, releasing the single “Show Them The Way” in 2020.
Throughout her multi-decade long career, Stevie Nicks has accomplished a lot. She’s topped the Billboard 200, reached multi-platinum status, won a Grammy and was the first woman to be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice.
