Show some love for your plant babies with a flourishing tattoo

Living in a big city surrounded by concrete and steel, you rarely catch a glimpse of anything green, leading to a feeling of disconnection from nature. A perfect way to combat this is to surround yourself with an abundance of houseplants, transforming your apartment into a luscious greenhouse.

Any avid plant owner knows that each one comes with its own distinct personality, so finding the right plants that suit you is key. There’s the sprawling pothos, which can exist in both bright and low-light spaces and love to intertwine their vines through all of your worldly possessions. Snake plants are laid-back entities, able to endure weeks of neglect and still maintain their sprightliness. Fiddle leaf figs or moth orchids are a bit more fickle, beckoning for more attention from their caretakers, else they should shrivel up in a dramatic fashion.

Plants are living creatures inhabiting your home, just like pets, and deserve only the most appropriate treatment. That means nurturing them with ample water and sunlight, and it has even been said that talking to your plants helps them grow. So, whenever you get a chance, ask your green buddies how they’re doing and give them some gentle encouragement to evolve into their most vivacious selves.

With enough time, you’ll eventually grow attached to your plants, and you may come to miss them every time you leave the house. But have no fear, you can tattoo these babies onto your skin, and remind yourself of the beautiful children you’ve raised. With a visible plant piece on your body, you’ll also increase the chances of connecting with fellow plant lovers and bonding over your shared horticultural hobbies.
