Washington Tattoo Artists Go Viral With Bird Box Tat Challenge
Would You Let a Blindfolded Artist Tattoo You?
The Netflix film Bird Box starring Sandra Bullock was the biggest trending topic at the end of 2018 and it inspired a number of challenges. Most notably, YouTuber Morgan Adams sparked the attention of the platform and Netflix themselves. However, no one would have imagined that an artist would put a tattoo twist on the phenomenon.
But this is exactly what happened and you have an artist named David Gregory to thank for it. Gregory is a traditional artist based in Vancouver, Washington who decided to pay homage to the viral thriller by created the Bird Box Tat Challenge.
In the challenge, he tattooed a consenting victim blindfolded and gained the attention of the tattoo community on Instagram.
The tattoo itself is exactly what you’d expect from the blindfolded artist, however, as long as the client is happy there is no harm done. Because this post was shared on both @monday_malarkey and @snake__pit, we’re curious to see if other artists will attempt the challenge in the coming days.
What do you think about the bird box tat challenge? Would you allow a blindfolded artist to tattoo you? Let us know your thoughts, opinions and questions on this story in the comments section on Facebook.
