Celebrate XXXTentacion’s 22nd Birthday with 10 Tattoos of the Late Rapper
Take a look at XXXTentacion tattoos from some of the world's best artists
On January 23rd, 1998 Jahseh Onfroy was born in Plantation, Florida. He would go on to assume the identity XXXTentacion and become one of the hottest rappers of the late 2010s. Like many musicians of his generation, Onfroy got his start on SoundCloud in 2013 and gained mainstream acclaim for his debut single “Look at Me.” His debut album, “17,” came out at number two on the Billboard 200 in 2017 and his second album, “?,” debuted at number one in 2018.
In March of 2018, Onfroy released his lead single “Sad!” which leapt from number 52 to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 following his death on June 18th, 2018. Onfroy passed away from gunshot wounds in Deerfield Beach, Florida after being robbed and shot leaving a motorcycle dealership.
Following his death, Onfroy became the first musician to hold a posthumous number one hit since 1997 (The Notorious B.I.G previously held this record with “Mo Money Mo Problems”) and his legacy has continued on through streams, fan pages and of course, tattoos. Many of Onfroy’s biggest fans have gotten tattooed in his honor, finding deep connections to his music and message. Take a look at some of our favorite portraits of Onfroy in the gallery below, then let us know your thoughts on these tattoos on social media.
