One of the best parts of being a kid is doodling. Everything from coloring at home to art class in school gives kids the creative freedom to draw and design whatever incredible ideas they have in their heads, and eventually leads to drawers and refrigerators parents have stocked with some of their children’s favorite adolescent masterpieces. Photographer Chance Faulkner, however, wanted the world to meet someone who took hanging his son’s artwork up to a whole new level. Meet Keith Anderson, the subject of Faulkner’s latest photography series. This Canadian dad didn’t just want to showcase his son’s work, instead he wanted to take it with him wherever he went, thus for the last six years Anderson has had one piece of art that his now 11-year-old son drew tattooed onto his arm. Each year Anderson and his son pick one piece for Anderson to get rendered in ink, a tradition this dad says he will carry on until his son no longer wants to. As the years have gone by, Anderson gets a chance to look down at his sleeve and see not only the progression of his son’s art, but also a constant reminder of his son as he grows up. Anderson definitely wins as one of the coolest dads ever in our book! To see more amazing tattoos parents have of their kids artwork, check out some of our favorite pieces right here.
