Ariana Grande Offered $1.5 Million to Laser Off Her Botched Tattoo
Maybe Your Bad Tattoo is Also Worth $1 Million!?
The ongoing saga of Ariana’s botched tattoo has now taken a heavy duty twist, to the tune of $1.5 million. For all of you who may not have heard of what went down, here goes.
A little over two weeks ago, Grande revealed a large and beautiful tattoo of Eevee, one of the original Pokémon characters. Then, she did it again on January 29th by showing off a fresh palm tattoo of the original Pokémon characters. Then, she did it again on January 29th by showing off a fresh palm tattoo. However, fans were quick to point out the mistranslation in Grande’s tattoo. The tattoo was meant to read “seven rings,” after the second single from Grande’s upcoming studio album. But instead, Instagram and Twitter users pointed out that the tattoo actually translated to “BBQ grill.”
Grande and her artist, Kane Navasard quickly removed their posts from social media and replaced it with a post that featured a conversation with her Japanese tutor Ayumi. . However, last night Grande posted an update to her story featuring a conversation with her Japanese tutor Ayumi.
A decision was made that all the tattoo needed to read correctly was an additional “kanji”.
Well, the new “corrected” tattoo went up on social media and as it turns out, the design still doesn’t translate to “seven rings,” and instead reads “Japanese BBQ finger.”
Okay, here’s where LaserAway — a company that specializes in hair and tattoo removal — proposed this lucrative offer to Ariana.
The deal was leaked to be that $1.5 goes to Ariana and in return she allows LaserAway to remove the tattoo and she agrees to have the event photographed and videotaped so that LaserAway can use the content in their social media and print ad campaigns, and that Ariana do one LaserAway post per month for a year post on her social media.
The offer was signed by the president of the company with a snarky little dig at the end. It read, ”Thank u, next tiny barbecue grill.”
TMZ spoke with Scooter Braun, who said, “I can’t speak for Ariana as we have not received this letter, however, if they’re willing to send me the offer, I’m sure I’d be happy to get a tattoo and then remove it real quick … for $1.5 mil. Hopefully, we can make this deal before her album comes out next week — shameless plug.”
