Punk Rock Bowling Releases 2020 Lineup
It's never too early to plan your Memorial Day Weekend in Vegas
The weather is starting to turn to shit here in New York City, as it is wont to do. The sky is grey, the drizzle falling isn’t sure if it wants to turn to snow or not and I’m afraid of freezing my damn hands off before I get to the train. That’s why I’m still here in the office daydreaming of sweating my ass off dancing in the pit at Punk Rock Bowling this May.
A horde of tattooed punks will be descending upon Las Vegas on Memorial Day weekend for the raucous music festival/bowling tournament. Today the lineup was released and it’s pretty kickass.
What we love most about the lineup is how there is a little something for everyone. Headlining the show are a couple of heavyweights making their PRB debut—Madness and Circle Jerks. Joining them at the top of the bill are Cock Sparrer, one of this humble writer’s very favorite live bands.
If you skanking in the pit is more your speed than moshing, Madness isn’t the only ska band on the bill. They’re joined by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Streetlight Manifesto. If you’re looking for a little extra incentive to leave the house, there are a slew of bands playing that you likely haven’t seen on stage for years if not decades, including Lunachicks, Rose Tattoo, AVAIL, Bishops Green, The Ruts DC, and The Epoxies.
And then there are all of the usual suspects returning to the desert for another crazy weekend of debauchery—Propagandhi, Good Riddance, The Bronx, G.B.H. (40 yr anniversary tour), Municipal Waste, The Lawrence Arms, Roy Ellis, Stiff Little Fingers, and The Aggrolites.
We’re going to be out there, and you should be too.
