Will you be seeing Frozen II in theaters this weekend?
Six years after the theatrical release of Frozen the film’s sequel is finally here. That’s right Disney fanatics, Frozen 2 hits theaters on November 22nd and it has some big shoes to fill. Frozen earned $1.276 billion at the box-office, making it the highest-grossing film of 2013 and the fifteenth highest-grossing film of all time. It went on to win two Academy Awards that year: Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song (“Let It Go”). The franchise had an incredible impact on popular culture, spawning a Broadway musical and launching Elsa to number 88 on BabyCenter’s Top 100 Most-Used names of 2014.
The film’s sequel stars a number of veteran cast-members, including Idina Menzel as Elsa, Kristen Bell as Anna, Jonathan Groff as Kristoff and Josh Gad as Olaf, but also introduces a number of new faces. In supporting roles, Frozen 2 features actors Sterling K. Brown (American Crime Story, This Is Us), Evan Rachel Wood (Thirteen, Across the Universe), Alfred Molina (Raiders of the Lost Ark, Spider-Man 2), Martha Plimpton (The Goonies, Raising Hope), Jason Ritter (Parenthood) and Rachel Marren (Happy Death Day).
