A Toast to the Souls Who Never Left
Celebrating life beyond the veil through the art of tequila.
Every November, as marigold petals scatter across altars and candlelight flickers through the night, Mexico honors its past in color, not sorrow. The Day of the Dead isn’t about loss; it’s about remembering with joy. It’s about carrying the stories of those who came before us and celebrating the marks they left behind.
That same spirit of remembrance and artistry lives in every bottle of Dos Artes.
Where Spirit Meets Ink
For tattoo artists and collectors, the connection is immediate. The bottle itself is more than a vessel; it’s a canvas. Each one is hand-painted ceramic, a work of art that honors both the living and the departed, much like the tattoos etched on skin to immortalize memory, love, and identity.
“Dos Artes” translates to two arts: the art of tequila and the art of the bottle that holds it. The Calavera Edition embodies that philosophy, a series of limited designs that celebrate the Mexican soul’s fearless relationship with life and death.
The 2025 Calavera Edition
Since 2018, Dos Artes has created collectible bottles that evolve each year in color, mood, and detail. The 2025 release stands apart, a black ceramic skull with deep aqua undertones, a contrast of darkness and light that feels both ancient and modern. Like the final glow of a candle fading into night, it’s a symbol of beauty within impermanence.
Line up each edition and they resemble a tattoo sleeve, individual expressions telling one continuous story. From the vibrant 2018 Extra Añejo to the fiery orange Joven of 2024, each design represents a moment in time, a face in the procession, a heartbeat remembered.
A Spirit Crafted Between Worlds
The new 2025 Calavera Añejo spends 28 months aging in brand-new French and American oak barrels crafted exclusively for Dos Artes. The result is layered, soulful, and patient, with plum and brown sugar on the nose, fig and roasted agave on the palate. It’s a tequila meant to be savored, not rushed.
Much like tattooing, it’s a ritual of transformation, where craftsmanship meets devotion and time gives birth to art.
The Ritual of Remembering
For Dos Artes, drinking tequila is more than a toast; it’s a ritual. Light a candle. Pour a glass. Remember someone who shaped you. Celebrate what still burns within you.
The Calavera 2025 isn’t just a limited-edition release. It’s a reminder that memory can live on in art, in ink, and in spirit.
Raise your glass to the souls who never left and to the art that keeps them near.
