From Prohibition to Permanence: Chicken Cock Whiskey’s Tattoo Bash
As a brand with deep roots stretching back to 1856, Chicken Cock Whiskey is no stranger to standing out.
In a night that fused heritage with high energy, Chicken Cock Whiskey hosted one of its most unforgettable experiences to date: an immersive celebration of whiskey, tattoos, and unapologetic self-expression. Held on June 11 at the Clover Club in Brooklyn, NYC, the event brought together tastemakers, tattoo lovers, and devoted whiskey fans for a bold mashup of tradition and rebellion. The evening was produced in partnership with 3 Kings Tattoo Studio, a legendary Brooklyn-based shop known for its bold artistry and deep roots in the tattoo community.
As a brand with deep roots stretching back to 1856, Chicken Cock Whiskey is no stranger to standing out. Once smuggled in tin cans during Prohibition and famously served at Harlem’s Cotton Club, its legacy has always been tied to defiance, creativity, and individuality. Today, the brand continues to channel that outlaw energy, now with a modern twist.
Even the bottle itself pays tribute to this rich history. Designed as a throwback to the packaging used during Prohibition, the embossed glass and vintage styling serve as a physical reminder of the brand’s resilience and authenticity. It’s more than just a container. It’s a piece of the past that connects each pour to generations of bold drinkers who refused to follow the rules.
Inked was on the scene to capture all the action, from the moment the first pour hit the glass to the final buzz of the tattoo machines. Guests lined up for flash tattoos inspired by Chicken Cock’s historic branding, including reimagined roosters, vintage typography, and bold iconography pulled straight from the label. These weren’t just tattoos. They were lasting badges of loyalty and love for a whiskey that refuses to be forgotten.
As flash sheets flew and artists inked with precision, guests sipped on signature cocktails crafted with Chicken Cock’s award-winning bourbon and rye. The smooth, full-bodied flavor of the whiskey matched the atmosphere: rich, bold, and unforgettable.
What unfolded that night went beyond a typical party. It was a living tribute to a brand that’s never shied away from making a statement. With its “Dare to Ink It” campaign, Chicken Cock continues to invite fans to embrace their edge and celebrate who they are. And on this night, that celebration was inked in permanence.
