Demi Lovato Debuts Ninth Studio Album

Demi Lovato’s It’s Not That Deep Brings Carefree Energy and Dance-Ready Fun

Global pop star Demi Lovato has released her ninth studio album, It’s Not That Deep, through DLG Recordings and Island Records. The 11-track project dropped on October 24, 2025, and marks a fresh chapter for Lovato focused on celebration, confidence, and dance-pop energy.

Produced by Zhone, known for work with Kylie Minogue and Troye Sivan, the record revisits the high-energy sound of Lovato’s earlier hits while reflecting her current state of mind. Lovato described the process as “the most fun I’ve ever had in the studio.” The album’s lead singles, “Fast,” “Here All Night,” and “Kiss,” set the tone with sleek, upbeat production and catchy electro-pop hooks.

Lovato says this era is about freedom and fun. “It’s Not That Deep is about letting go of inhibitions and bringing out the carefree energy that lives in all of us and makes us want to dance all night long.” The album’s title comes from the lyric “It’s not that deep, unless you want it to be.”

For fans who’ve followed Lovato’s evolution, It’s Not That Deep feels like a well-earned moment of lightness. It’s the kind of album you can play loud in the shop, in the car, or anywhere you need a dose of feel-good energy.
