These eyeball tattoos are out of this world.

In this day and age, you can tattoo just about anything—including your eyeballs and eyelids! However, we know that many of you would rather get an eyeball tattoo in another way and that’s totally OK. Eyes make amazing artistic subjects, having influenced artists across the mediums of painting, sculpture, photography and beyond. There’s something incredibly powerful about eyeballs and what they represent to the viewer. A skilled artist has the ability to capture a range of emotions using only eyes—whether that be elation, hope, excitement, sadness or something in between.

In recent years, eye tattoos have become incredibly popular, amongst everyday collectors and celebrities alike. Many of Hollywood’s finest have gotten stunning eyeball tattoos, notably Justin Bieber, Zayn Malik, Brooklyn Beckham, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Paris Jackson, Cara Delevingne, Kesha, Malu Trevejo and Kristen Stewart. While most of these stars simply got tattoos of random eyes, several used these tattoos to pay homage to important people in their lives. For example, Justin Bieber got his mother Pattie Mallette’s eye, Zayn Malik got his partner Gigi Hadid’s eyes, Brooklyn Beckham got his fiancé Nicola Peltz’s eyes, Paris Jackson got her father Michael Jackson’s eyes and Malu Trevejo got her own eyes.
