Kanye West: America’s Favorite Narcissist
Take a look at some of our favorite Kanye West tattoos
Kanye West. Where do we even begin? Easily one of the most polarizing figures in Hollywood, he’s someone that everyone has an opinion on. West was born in Atlanta, but raised in Chicago. His first claim to fame was as a producer for Rock-A-Fella Records, producing tracks for Jermaine Dupri, Jay-Z and Trina. Then in 2004, he put out his first album as a solo artist, “The College Dropout,” which he’d recorded over four years. The album debuted at number two on the Billboard Hot 200 and earned him a Grammy for Best Rap Album. He went on to win Best Rap Album for his second, third and fifth albums, and has won twenty-one Grammy’s throughout his career. As an artist, he’s known for frequently switching up his sound and uses his art to make a bold statement on society.
In addition to music, he’s pursued a variety of other career ventures, including a wildly successful fashion line, his influential sneaker collaboration with Adidas and a highly publicized run for president. He’s also very known for his personal life and beliefs—such as his marriage to reality star Kim Kardashian, his struggles with mental health and let’s not forget, his relationship with Jesus Christ. West is someone who always keeps the public guessing, as you never know what he’s going to say or do next. Honestly, he could come out tomorrow and say that he’s moving to a cabin in Antarctica to live among the Emperor Penguins, and we’d all believe it.
In honor of everything that is Kanye, we’re showcasing his best and boldest tattoos. These tattoos were crafted by talented artists from around the world and showcase the many different sides of Kanye.
