Mike Tyson’s Planning to Tattoo It All
The 53-year-old boxing legend said that he's been thinking about adding a lot more ink to his body.
If you were to sit down and come up with a list of the Top Five most recognizable celebrity tattoos it is a certainty that Mike Tyson’s face tattoo would be somewhere on the list, if not holding down the top spot.
Tyson got the tattoo only a few days before taking on Clifford Etienne, which would end up being Tyson’s 50th and final victory in the ring. Ever since then, it has been one of the world’s most recognizable pieces. So much so that it led to a lawsuit when the tattoo was spoofed on a poster for “The Hangover II.”
Now, Tyson has floated the idea of getting some more tattoos. A lot more tattoos. On a Zoom interview with FightHype.com, the infamous pugilist floated the idea of covering himself with ink.
“Listen, the other day, I was thinking about just getting a tattoo,” Tyson said. “I’m in such good physical condition. I was just thinking about getting my whole body inked up. I saw somebody who has his whole body from neck-to-toe and he was fit like myself and he looked beautiful and I said ‘Wow.’ He’s body was all tattooed out and I thought that was beautiful.”
Tyson already has some black-and-grey portraits on his body. The cast of characters Tyson has portraits of gives an interesting look into the boxer’s psyche—Che Guevara, Arthur Ashe, Mao Zedong and his ex-wife Monica Turner.
Tyson hasn’t stepped in to the ring professionally for 15 years, but you certainly wouldn’t guess that by looking at him. He is still in phenomenal shape. Imagine if he decided to make a comeback while rocking a full body suit? Pretty badass, if you ask us.
So, Mr. Tyson, if you are serious about getting that full bodysuit done, let us know. We’ll hook it up at Inked NYC. Just don’t get too crazy listening to Phil Collins, OK?

Tattoo enthusiasts often claim addiction, but true addiction involves chemical and psychological dependence. Obsessive love for tattoos is not the same as addiction.
