That’s One Foxy Lady

The fiery (and bona fide fire performer) Cervena Fox warms up the new Indian Chieftain Dark Horse motorcycle.

When Inked started publishing there were “tattooed models” but as the community has grown the word changed to “tattoo models.” No longer were there just just models with tattoos, but models who specifically work in the tattoo world. That in of itself shows how far we have come as a culture. Cervena Fox was once a tattooed model but as he collection grew along with the interest in tattooed women (and specifically interest in Cervena, herself) she has become one of the premier tattoo models. Heck, let’s push the language where it decidedly needs to go: Cervena Fox is a Tattoo Supermodel.

We’ve featured Cervena across our pages a few times and it just became time to put her on our cover—she’s reached the rarified iconic point in the industry. We are delighted, humbled and excited that Cervena Fox graces the July 2017 “Motorcycle Issue” cover of Inked magazine along side a brand new Indian motorcycle. Inked feels that she embodies the grace and spirit of the modern motorbiking community. And she’s got one hell of a presence.

“In a car you’re always in a compartment, and because you’re used to it you don’t realize that through that car window everything you see is just more TV. You’re a passive observer and it is all moving by you boringly in a frame. On a cycle the frame is gone. You’re completely in contact with it all. You’re in the scene, not just watching it anymore, and the sense of presence is overwhelming.”

—by Robert Pirsig in his Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Pirsig passed away while we were working on this issue. If you have yet to read his masterwork please honor him by picking up a copy. And get your copy of Inked while you are at the bookstore.
