Kehlani Reveals the Lifechanging Truth of Her Home Birth

So far, 2019 has been quite the year for R&B singer Kehlani. In addition to dropping her mixtape, While We Wait, on February 22nd, the 23-year-old gave birth to her first child. 

This past weekend, Kehlani gave birth to a daughter named Adeya Nomi with guitarist Javaughn Young-White. Kehlani revealed the birth of her child in an Instagram post and shared with her fans that she’d had a home birth. “Unmedicated homebirth was the absolute hardest yet most powerful thing I’ve ever done,” writes Kehlani on the March 26th post. 

While having a home birth may be less common than having a child in a hospital, many celebrities have gone down this route. Gisele Bundchen, Thandie Newton, Jennifer Connelly, and Alanis Morissette are just a few of Hollywood’s elite who’ve given birth at home.
