Reddit Picks Apart This NSFW Harry Potter Tattoo
Can You Believe This NSFW Reference?
In 1997, author J.K. Rowling published the first book in what would later become the Harry Potter series. Rowling’s Harry Potter books are considered the best-selling book series in history, with over 500 million copies sold worldwide. Additionally, Rowling’s vision was brought to life in eight feature films, as well as in permanent attractions in Universal’s Orlando, Hollywood, and Osaka parks.
The impact of Rowling’s story is not only seen through film and theme parks, however, it can also be observed through tattoos. Since 1997 and especially after the release of the first film in 2001, thousands of Harry Potter fans around the world have shown their appreciation for the series with permanent tattoos.
And while many of the Harry Potter tattoos we see are beautiful and magical in their own right, Reddit users were quick to pick apart a Hogwarts inspired piece on the platform.
Upon first glance, the tattoo below isn’t half bad. However, upon examining the jar of Liquid Luck or Felix Felicis in the bottom right corner, comparisons were made to an NSFW object.
Users were quick to point out that the bottle cap strongly resembled a butt plug, with one person writing “Harry Potter and The Penis Shaped Toxic Nightmare.” Others critiqued the readability of the design itself, with one person saying“If you hadn’t said it was Harry Potter themed I wouldn’t have guessed.”
