“Epstein Didn’t Kill Himself” Tattoos Flood Social Media
Can you believe this is a growing tattoo trend?
Prior to his death, Jeffrey Epstein was a prominent financier known for managing billions of dollars in client assets and rubbing elbows with the elite of the elite, such as Bill Clinton and Donald Trump. In 2005, Epstein was investigated by police in Palm Springs for sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl. Then in 2008, Epstein plead guilty and was convicted of procuring and soliciting a minor for prostitution, serving 13 months with work release. Finally, over a decade later, Epstein was arrested once more in July of 2019 on federal charges of sex trafficking minors in both New York and Florida. Epstein was jailed at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City and upon search of his Manhattan townhouse, FBI uncovered thousands of nude photographs of women, many of whom were underage.
On July 23rd, Epstein was found unconscious in his cell with marks around his neck. Epstein claimed that he was attacked by his cellmate, who was awaiting trial on four counts of murder, however others believed it was a suicide attempt. After the incident, Epstein was placed on suicide watch before being placed in a special housing unit that was heavily monitored by guards. However, on August 10th, Epstein was found dead in his cell and the medical examiner ruled suicide as the cause of death. The FBI is currently investigating the circumstances of his death, as there were many violations in jail procedures the night of his passing.
On the night of his death, Epstein’s cellmate was transferred out and a replacement was not brought in. Additionally, guards were supposed to check in on Epstein every 30 minutes, however, the two guards on duty that night fell asleep for approximately three hours. Lastly, the two front cameras malfunctioned that night and a third had footage which was “unusable.”
These circumstances have led many to believe that Epstein didn’t commit suicide, spawning a number of memes. Some have even taken the phrase “Epstein Didn’t Kill Himself” so far by getting it permanently tattooed on their bodies.
