True classics never go out of style. We know that phrase has become nothing more than a cliche over the years but that doesn’t mean that it still isn’t true. For example, when we looked at the art covering the body of Kerri King, today’s Inked Girl of the Day, we immediately thought of that old chestnut. The bright traditionally inspired tattoos Kerri has all perfectly accentuate her beauty in a way that other styles of tattooing just couldn’t.
Throughout her sometimes Not Safe For WorkInked Girls profile you can catch a glimpse of all of Kerri’s fantastic work. The most striking of which is the vibrantly colored sleeve covering her left arm. All of the tattoos that make up the piece relate to the theme of “hopeless romance,” according to Kerri. One might think that a sleeve dedicated to such a dour idea would be end up being dark and forlorn but in reality it is the opposite; even while expressing hopeless ideals the colors involved give away the impression that there still is a glimmer of hope left and that things will turn out in the end.
Kerri mentions that she is planning on giving the same sleeve treatment to her right arm. Hopefully she’ll share the photos with us because we love what her artist did with the left arm and we’d like to see if the new sleeve could possibly live up to the majesty of her original sleeve.
