Detroit’s Motor City Tattoo Expo is one of the most looked forward to tattoo conventions each year, and 2015 marks the twentieth year in a row that artists from around the world have gathered to show their love of art and ink! For this special monumental mark in Motor City history, Sullen TV sent out Bernadette Macias to check in on all of the action of this year’s convention. Take a look at the video below to see what some of your favorite artists were up to in Michigan this March!
The star of Spike TV’s Tattoo Nightmares, Big Gus, was tattooing away all convention long, and, as always, he had time to fit in at least one cover up! Alongside Gus was the Detroit-native and living tattoo legend, Bob Tyrrell. One of the most innovative and well-known black and grey icons of modern tattooing, Tyrrell always comes out for the annual Motor City Expo. The convention also saw the likes of Ryan Mullins, Tony Olivas, and Marshall Bennett, among many other talented artists.
If you missed the convention this year, have no fear. There’s always next year! So make sure to check out all of the footage below and plan your trip for the 21st Annual Motor City Tattoo Expo of 2016. Come on by and get inked!
