69 Delightful Danny DeVito Tattoos
Who's your favorite character that Danny DeVito has played?
Good things come in small packages. Danny DeVito may stand at only 4 ft 10 in, making him one of the smallest actors in Hollywood, however his impact on film and television is gigantic. DeVito’s film debut came in 1970 with the role of Thug in the film “Dreams of Glass.” By 1975, he began to gain attention through his role Martini in the acclaimed “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.” He began making a name for himself through his portrayal of Louie De Palma in the television series “Taxi” and picked up starring roles in 1984’s “Romancing the Stone,” 1987’s “Throw Mamma from the Train” and 1988’s “Twins.”
By 1992, he appeared in one of his most famous roles to date, portraying the iconic comic book villain Penguin alongside Michael Keaton and Michelle Pfeiffer in Tim Burton’s “Batman Returns.” Going forward, DeVito has continued to act, direct and produce many acclaimed films over the years, notably 1996’s “Matilda,” 1997’s “Hercules” and 2012’s “The Lorax.”
Perhaps one of DeVito’s greatest roles of all time has been his portrayal of Frank Reynolds in the television series “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” Since 2006, DeVito has played the lovable, feral and scheme-y Reynolds, who’s gone on many adventures throughout the show’s run. The show is currently the longest-running live-action comedy series in American history and has been renewed for a whopping four more seasons.
