Adam Levine Shows Off Massive Leg Tattoo

The Maroon 5 frontman spent three days getting an impressive Japanese leg sleeve.

Last time we saw Adam Levine getting tattooed it was in November of 2019 when he had Sasha Masiuk add a delicate California poppy to his neck. The tattoo was understated and subtle, a little fineline banger that helped tie together his entire collection. In other words, the exact opposite of the tattoo Levine just obtained.

The Maroon 5 frontman and reality singing contest judge just got a massive leg tattoo from artist Nathan Kostechko.

The black-and-grey Japanese leg sleeve appears to go all the way from Levine’s ankle to his thigh. As he shared on Instagram, the piece was no joke; it took three consecutive days worth of tattooing to complete.

Over the years, Levine has shown that he is a fan of many different tattoo styles. His collection includes American Traditional, fineline, traditional Japanese, script and, his most infamous piece, big block letters spelling “California.” As far as we can tell, there is only one thing Levine can’t stand when it comes to tattoos—color. As far as we can tell his collection is made up of exclusively black ink. He hasn’t even thrown in any maroon. Sure, getting a maroon tattoo of the number 5 might be a little cheesy, but he did write this song, so it would be pretty on-brand.

From what we can tell, he does still have one more leg to go. Perhaps he should start going nuts and make it wildly colorful. Or maybe switch up his entire aesthetic and get a full horror-themed leg sleeve by Paul Booth. That would definitely turn some heads.

Or he just keep on doing what he’s doing. It’s easy to give Levine a hard time, but when it comes to his tattoo choices, the man has been pretty on-point over the years. This work by Kostechko is phenomenal and we can’t wait to see what Levine does with that empty leg.
